I have been involved in music for most of my life having been raised in a musical family.  My mother is a vocalist and plays guitar, accordion, piano and recorder.  My brother plays piano and the drums.

At age 11 I started playing trumpet in school band class before switching to french horn for the next three years.  At age 13 I started playing guitar with my Mom as my first teacher.  I spent the rest of my teenage years taking private lessons learning to play Rock, Blues, Classical and Flamenco while writing songs and playing in various original rock groups.

In 2000-2003 I was a music student at Grant McEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  I studied Jazz guitar under head guitar instructor Bobby Carins.  In 2002 I received a music diploma with a major in guitar performace.  I returned for an extra year to study composition.

From September 2003 to March 2005 I worked as a guitar instructor for Visionary College in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.  I taught group guitar lessons and more than forty private students a week of all ages and skill levels.

From April 2005 to July 2007 I worked as a show band musician for Princess Cruises and Holland America cruise line.  I was the guitarist for the main theatre orchestra playing for production shows and hundreds of guest entertainers like singers, virtuoso musicians, jugglers, comedians, magicians, and so on.  I also did a large amount of solo Jazz guitar performing.

In September 2007 to December 2008 I returned to working as a guitar instructor at the Acoustic Music Shop in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  During this time I studied Classical guitar using the Canadian royal conservatory of music method, passing the grade 7 practical guitar exam.  I also played in various music groups like a new age music project, a Pop/Rock cover band and an AC/DC tribute group.

I spent the majority of 2009 back with Princess Cruises as a show band guitarist and solo guitarist doing sets of solo Jazz or solo Classical guitar.  I got the chance to play with a few celebrity entertainers like Johnny Thunder of the Drifters and Broadway, T.V. and Film star Adrian Zmed.

In early 2010 I relocated across the Atlantic ocean to live in Glasgow, Scotland.  In the early summer I spent some time working as the guitarist for the Royal Court Theatre Orchestra on the Queen Mary 2 ocean liner.  Since then I have been playing with various groups giging around Glasgow and the rest of Scotland.  I currently play with the function band Magnitude.
